https://osf.io/rt7g8/

Objective: The objective of this scoping review is to understand the extent and type of evidence concerning the relationship between children's and maternal nutrition and diet in the first 1,000 days of a child's life and the risk of childhood cancer. Introduction: Childhood cancer is considered rare compared to tumors that affect adults. However, its origin is not well established, and modifiable risk factors must be analyzed. Children's and maternal dietary and nutritional exposures in the first thousand days of a child's life may be significant risk predictors. Inclusion criteria: The population is the children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer (0-19 years old). The concept is the children's and maternal nutrition and diet in the first 1,000 days of a child's life. The context is the risk of childhood cancer. Methods: The scoping review will follow the Joanna Briggs Institute Manual for Scoping Review and the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Review. Cohort and case-control studies published in PubMed/Medline, LILACS, Embase, and Scopus will be included with no restrictions on the year of publication or the language. Other articles will be identified using three artificial intelligence tools. The results will be presented using a narrative synthesis and results mapping
